FIGHT CLUB
Just couldn't resist drooling all over this one, once again! And this time I had to say it aloud!
Soo many kickass dialogues ! Jim Uhls rocks !
Here goes my favourite one -
Tyler Durden: Man, I see in fight club the strongest and smartest men who've ever lived. I see all this potential, and I see squandering. God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off.
This post is labelled 'random' precisely bcos of its nature ;its just that a gigantic wave of crazy admiration hit me n swept me off my feet ..Random!! ..I knw..

Well what would you do other than stand up and give a thumping ovation in admiration to such concepts. Even though the movie puts forth the idea of violence, i love it for the fact that it brings out the angry confused young person's conflicting life in a beautiful way.

Even though i shouldn't do it, but i'm now spending my time like the nameless protagonist, spending all my earnings in sprucing up my room and my life with all the things advertised as those adding upto a man's life. Be it the iPod, my phone, my laptop or the simple shirt i wear. At times i feel why the hell am i caring about all this. But then i revert to the old stand. Seems like i don't have the guts to be like Tyler and stand up against the cruel world.

God i feel i should write a blog about this. :) Another venting of frustrations :D

I repeated Tyler's words and ended this post without adding my voice, cos i didnt want to pile this world with some of my own despairing truths..but wth, bottling it in isn't exactly liberating either..half my posts remain unpublished cos they aint rosy to read ! :-)
